Energy Storage + Grid Flexibility Scotland Study Visit

February 25, 2026 – Around 40 visitors from Central and Eastern Europe (Hungary, Poland, Bulgaria, Slovakia, Czech Republic, Croatia, Bosnia & Herzegovina) came to The Salter Centre to learn more about grid flex and energy storage. Organised by the UK Department for Business & Trade, the visit was focused on SynchroStor, Quoceant, and Q-zeta. The purpose of the visit was to generate commercial opportunities for UK companies and opportunities for academic or research partnerships.  

Alexis Dole, CTO of SynchroStor, and Richard Yemm, director of Quoceant and Q-zeta, introduced their companies to the guests. The visitors were then given a comprehensive tour of the SynchroStor and Quoceant spaces, as well as a tour of the rest of the premises.  

The Salter Centre aims to bridge relationships between its resident companies, and investors and collaborators.
