Schools and teacher programmes
We are committed to working with students of all ages and all stages of schooling to introduce and instil in them a curiosity for engineering and science. Our programmes include site visits, engineering activities, and work experiences.
University students
We are constantly welcoming university students on-site for tours and talks with the companies. We have accommodated visits for specific courses based on the needs of the class.
Secondary school students
The Salter Centre has worked with secondary schools in the Loanhead area, specifically with S5 and S6 students who have either applied to university or are seriously considering it. TSC was able to give them a tour of the site, introduce them to young engineers, and show them what a day in the industry would look like. The high school students were also able to get advice about university applications from the placement students on-site.
We are also working with students in other years and providing them with engineering-related activities and workshops that are both educational and engaging. Additionally, we are available for work experience.
Primary school students
TSC is also open to hosting activities for primary school students.
