Our impact
Eleven enterprises supported, 70 engineers, customers and partners in 20 countries, 15 intern students, 5 project students working on site, 100 school pupil visits. Investment in two enterprises complete.
There are currently ten commercial enterprises at The Salter Centre working across: high temperature heat pumps; domestic heat; heavy lift drones; enabling technologies for offshore wind, wave- and tidal-energy; wave and flow tanks for research; energy efficient transport; and marine cloud brightening.
Between them, they have customers and partners in around 20 countries and employ around 70 engineers of which, at any time, around 15% are vacation, placement, or project students.
By providing supported environments for prototyping and testing, The Salter Centre currently supports three engineering student groups: Formula Student, Hyped, and endeavour.
