Other skills programmes
Engineering skills training is available for those who want to learn how to use hand and machine tools. Our Machine Shop is a conducive place for learning, as it houses a wide array of lathes, mills, and other machinery.
We offer a variety of programmes in different skills. Some of these courses are using hand tools, electrical awareness, and introduction to welding.
The Salter Centre also has a curriculum for our Machine Shop. This programme includes the following courses: Horizontal Bandsaw, Vertical Bandsaw, Belt Linisher, Pillar Drills, Sheet Metal Work, Shizuoka Milling Machine, and Colchester Triumph 2000 Lathe.
The Machine Shop curriculum is currently available for industrial placement students.
TSC is also developing other programmes, such as workshop training for young women and employees.
